A. Burickson
Abraham Burickson is the founder of the experimental performance group, Odyssey Works, which, since 2001, has pushed the boundaries of participatory and site-specific theater. The group has produced pieces in San Francisco, Seattle, Austin, TX, and New York. He is a poet, essayist, conceptual artist, and author of a chapbook of poems: Charlie (Codhill 2010). His work has appeared widely, in such publications as Blackbird, The Painted Bride Quarterly, Time Out Chicago, Southwestern American Literature, and the Best New Poets 2008 Anthology. Burickson was trained as an architect, and has received Fellowships from the Michener Center for Writers and the Millay Artists Colony. He teaches writing at the Academy of Art University and is currently Risley Artist-in-Residence at Cornell University.
